About Me

I am a Research Engineer at the KIOS Research and Innovation Center of Excellence, University of Cyprus, affiliated with the Computer Vision and Deep Learning (CVDL) and Unmanned Aerial Vehicles (UAV) research groups. My work sits between research and engineering: I develop computer vision methods for UAVs and turn them into real-time systems that run on edge hardware.

My research to date has focused on perception for autonomous aerial systems:

• UAV Perception: Vision-based vehicle detection for traffic monitoring, and real-time detection on low-power embedded devices.
• Multi-UAV Tracking: Keeping vehicle identities consistent across multiple drone views to enable network-level traffic analysis.
• Vision-Language Guided Autonomy: Using vision-language models to guide path planning for autonomous UAV navigation.

I am currently expanding into:

• Agentic AI Systems: AI agents that reason, plan, and reliably execute multi-step tasks in software and cyber-physical environments.
• Trustworthy AI & Alignment: Making intelligent agents safe, reliable, and aligned with human intent.

I received my M.Sc. in Artificial Intelligence (2024) with Distinction from the University of Cyprus. Prior to this, I earned my B.Eng. in Electrical and Electronic Engineering (2023) with First Class Honours from the University of Lancashire.
